Price
- How does the price compare?
- MockProspect is $29 to $449 a month, with unlimited reps and a shared allowance of practice minutes. Other tools have published prices or require a custom quote, and some offer free trials or role-plays. Compare the included practice time, per-seat fees, grading options, and support on our pricing page. You can try our demo by phone without signing up.
- How is this different from the $99-a-month role-play apps?
- With MockProspect, reps practice from their own phone, and you control the objection answers, call stages, and language rules used for grading. They can make the call or answer it in a practice scenario, on the same line. Plans start at $29 a month with unlimited reps and a shared minute allowance. Other tools differ in pricing, grading options, and practice formats; our pricing page compares named products using their published information.
- What does the $29 plan include?
- The Solo plan includes 40 practice minutes a month and unlimited reps. You get phone practice and grading, with ready-made industry standards you can edit. Setup is self-service and support is by email. Larger plans add minutes; they do not unlock a different product or require per-seat fees.
Trying it
- How long does setup take?
- About a minute for a listed industry, after checkout: enter your company name, choose your industry, and add your reps’ numbers. Ready-made callers and standards are applied before your number appears. You can edit them for your business. For an industry outside the list, choose “Something else” and describe what you sell; the line starts with general practice scenarios while the AI drafts industry-specific callers and objections in the background.
- I hire constantly — can I use this to onboard new reps?
- Yes. Reps can practise explaining your offering and handling objections before speaking with customers. Give them a place to work through difficult answers and build confidence without scheduling a manager for every session. Tailor the editable standards to your company’s script and product, then review their practice calls and feedback to see where they need more work. You decide when they’re ready for customer conversations.
- How do I keep up with my team without logging in?
- Once a week, every owner and training manager gets one email: how many practice calls the team ran, the biggest improvement, who has gone quiet, and the one rule the team missed most — the thing to bring up at the floor meeting. It links to the full report. Reply STOP and we pause it.
- Do I need a card to try it?
- No. Call (402) 527-6744 to try the public phone demo without signing up or entering a card. The demo uses general sales standards; your account starts with editable standards you can tailor to your company. Paid plans start at $29 a month, with shared practice minutes and no per-seat fees. Cancel anytime.
- Can I interrupt it? Does it interrupt me?
- Both. It is a real phone call, so you can talk over it and it stops — and the harder personas will cut you off when they lose patience, because real prospects do.
- Will it laugh at my joke?
- Depends whether the prospect you picked would. The “Impossible” one won’t. Neither would the real one.
Your data
- Is my data mine?
- Yes. Your standards, recordings, transcripts, and grades belong to you. We do not sell them or use them to train our own models. Service providers process data to run calls, transcribe recordings, and produce grades; our Privacy Policy explains this. After cancellation takes effect, your account stays readable for 30 days before its data is permanently deleted.
Billing and minutes
- What happens when we run out of minutes?
- When your monthly allowance and any top-up minutes are used up, new practice calls pause. Top up, upgrade, or wait for your next monthly allowance. Reaching the allowance limit does not cut off a call already underway. No overage charges.
- Is there a contract?
- No. It is month to month, there is no minimum, and you cancel from the billing portal yourself. Downgrades take effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
- Do unused minutes carry over?
- Your monthly allowance resets each period. Top-up minutes never expire, and the monthly allowance is always spent first.
Support
- What kind of support do you offer?
- Email, and you reach a person. Young built MockProspect and reads support@mockprospect.com, so a question before you buy, including whether it fits your team, gets an honest answer, and after you buy you can have a call to set up your objections and rules together. Troubleshooting works the same way. Nothing requires a call: the product runs end to end without talking to anyone, and there are no sales demos and no account manager. While we are new, every account that wants this gets it.
- What does it not do?
- English only. No CRM or calendar integration. No sales demos and no account manager. Help is by email from the person who built it, with a setup call if you want one; nothing requires it. Try the public phone demo without signing up. And it is not for regulated health data: it is not HIPAA-compliant, so no PHI in your scenarios or standards. It practises and grades sales calls; it does not teach you how to sell.
The calls
- What phone number do we get?
- Your own US local number, set up automatically at signup. Your reps save it once and call it like any other number.
- Is this a real phone call or a browser tab?
- A real phone call. Your reps dial your number from their own phones, the way they call anyone else — no app, no headset, no browser tab.
- My team answers calls — we don’t cold-call. Does this work?
- Yes. Pick Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Restoration, or Pest control at setup and your callers are customers calling you: your rep hears a beep, answers the way they would at your desk, and the customer responds. Car dealership, Insurance, Mortgage, Real estate, Roofing, Solar, and Windows & doors are set up for the call-back — the lead who asked to be called. Any persona you build yourself can be marked an incoming call. Same grading against your standards, from whichever side of the phone your team is on.
- My agents set appointments. They don’t sell on the phone. Can it grade that?
- Yes. Grading is against the stages and rules you write, so make the outcome the standard: ask for the appointment, offer two times, confirm the phone number, each a pitch stage, and any must-say line a strict rule. Every call is then graded on exactly that, and the report shows which agents keep skipping which step.
- Who is allowed to call the line?
- Only the numbers you register. Anyone else is refused, so strangers cannot burn your minutes or land in your reports. There is no limit on how many reps you register.
Your standards
- How does grading work?
- You keep a written standard — how each objection should be answered, what your pitch stages are, what language to use and avoid. Every call is graded against it, and every grade records exactly which version of your standard it was measured on.
- Can it require what my reps must say, not just flag what they shouldn’t?
- Yes. A standard is a rule you write in plain English, so “the rep must state the recording disclosure” is graded exactly like “the rep must not promise a discount” — a required line that is missing counts against the call the same way a forbidden one that is present does. And you mark each rule strict or coaching: a strict rule is a compliance line, and breaking it lowers the score; a coaching rule only advises and never moves the number. That is the difference between a drill and a compliance check, and you decide which each rule is.
- How does MockProspect support our compliance process?
- You define the standards and required language your reps practise, and managers can review recordings, transcripts, and grading. Grades identify the standards version used. Changes to standards, personas, and company information now leave signed history identifying the action, who made it, and when. Owners and managers can review that history in their account, and the owner can approve the current training content or withdraw an approval. Each call on your line leaves a signed record of the training revision it started under and whether the owner had approved it, and each grade a signed record of what it read and what produced it. The owner can download all of it, recordings included, with a verifier that checks the records without a MockProspect account. These tools support your process; they do not certify regulatory compliance.
- Are practice recordings and grades a compliance risk for me?
- Your recordings, transcripts, and grades belong to your company. Service providers process them to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. The owner can download everything, including recordings and the signed history, as a portable copy that can be checked without a MockProspect account. Your company determines how these records fit its compliance, recording-consent, and retention obligations. Reps must be told practice calls are recorded, and the service is not for regulated health data.
- How do I know the grades are accurate?
- We focus on consistent, useful feedback against your standards. By default, objection, pitch, and language graders each run three times and combine their findings. Reports show the supporting transcript evidence and reasons, plus rules that split the graders, so you can review a score and sharpen unclear standards. Audio analysis separately measures pace, fillers, pauses, and response timing. Use the feedback to choose what to practise next and review progress against the same standards.
- Do I have to write all that from scratch?
- No. Pick your industry from a list of fifteen and ready-made callers, objections, call stages, and rules are applied before your number appears. You can edit this starting set to match how you sell. For an industry outside the list, choose “Something else” and describe your business: the AI drafts callers and objections in the background while general practice scenarios are available. Every rule starts as coaching, so nothing lowers a score until you decide it should.
- Which industries is it set up for?
- Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Restoration, Pest control, Car dealership, Insurance, Mortgage, Real estate, Solar, Roofing, Windows & doors, Software / SaaS, Recruiting, and Financial advisor — each with its own callers, objections, call stages, and rules, all coaching until you say otherwise. For another industry, choose “Something else” and describe your business. General call stages and language rules are available immediately. AI drafts callers and objections for your business in the background.
- Can someone else manage the training without seeing our billing?
- Yes. You can invite a training manager who can edit the standards, personas, voicemail practice and reps, and see the reports — but not the billing, and not the ability to invite anyone else.
- We sell more than one product, or our reps have different jobs. Does one account cover that?
- Yes. One account holds up to five tracks — one per product or role — on every plan. Each track has its own objections, pitch stages, language rules and personas, graded on their own, and reps pick the track on the phone after the direction. With one track, nothing changes.
